In today’s fast moving world a Master of Ceremonies must understand all of the mechanics of events and conferences, to keep talking while another voice is speaking in their earpiece, reading from an autocue and understand such things as feedback from microphones, lighting aspects, timing, and how to make an introduction so that the speaker knows when to come on stage without their name being lost in the sound of applause.
